Urban Sketchers Cebu official sketchwalk for the the month of April, 2019 at the Marcelo Fernan Bridge. This is the second bridge connecting Mandaue City to Lapu-Lapu City. With a total length of 1237 metersit is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge spanning the Mactan Channel. It is a joint project with a Japanese firm and was formerly called the Consolacion Bridge before being named after a local political figure.
The Sketchers all used the Millenium Park below the bridge on the Lapu-Lapu end as their vantage point. The public park was built around the same time as the bridge as is a popular destination for locals to do picnics and dates.
Urban Sketchers Cebu chose this location as it is one of the more distinct landmarks of Cebu. Check out our video below!
