THE UNION GALA GENEROUS WALTZ: A Night Filled With Hearts, Music And Dance.

 

On June 1, 2025, The Union opened its doors at Casa Real in Acacia, Estates, Taguig City for their first Charity Gala. The Union Gala: A Generous Waltz with its beneficiary Scholars Of Sustenance invited people with big hearts to an experience they will never forget. Guests felt like they were in a royal ball similar to fairy tales.

Mykl aka Bodegaboi Cosplay of Cebu X Geeks also a member of The Union which is a charity organization that aims to give meaning to “Cosplay with a Cause”. Spearheaded by Bernard Jude Gutierrez and a group of cosplayers who share the same vision. The group was founded in 2019 and has partnered with multiple organizations like UNICEF, WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), Caritas Manila, and etc. They have organized themed events inspired by franchises like Fate, Demon Slayer, Genshin Impact and others.

Scholars of Sustenance or SOS is a charity organization that rescues unused foods or ingredients from restaurants and groceries which they themselves cook and prepare and distribute to the less fortunate, prisoners specifically the women’s correctional facilities. The Philippines branch was established in 2014 and it is part of the larger SOS Foundation, which was founded in Thailand.

The Union Gala: A Generous Waltz was a different concept of a cosball where they meticulously chose a venue that felt magical, songs that matched the theme, food and a choreographed waltz which was easy to remember. A total of 60 participants felt immersed right away as soon as they entered the doors of Casa Real. They were treated with goodie bags, an opportunity to have their pictures taken as they flaunt their most glamorous outfits. The event ended in success to where guests were still hung-over from the event’s experience and still to this day posts photos, reels and tiktoks about the event.
