TOFICON Cebu 2024 brought toy and figure enthusiasts together for an action-packed weekend on December 7-8, 2024, at Ayala Malls Central Bloc, Cebu City. This year’s theme, “War,” set the stage for an immersive experience filled with stunning dioramas, exciting competitions, and engaging discussions. Whether you were a serious collector, a passionate builder, or just a casual fan, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the biggest highlights was the diorama displays created by toy exhibitors and hobbyist communities.
These weren’t just simple figure setups—they were epic battle scenes that brought different toy lines to life. From giant mechas clashing to fantasy warriors locked in combat, every display told a unique story. Fans admired the craftsmanship and creativity, while photographers captured these miniature battlefields from the best angles.
Beyond the displays, panel talks gave attendees a chance to learn from experienced collectors and community leaders. Topics covered everything from toy collecting and photography to 3D printing, custom figures, and plamo building. There was also a focus on community building, giving fans insight into how toy groups grow and thrive. These sessions were packed with useful tips, whether you were new to the hobby or a longtime collector.
The event also brought plenty of fun and games for attendees to test their skills and knowledge. On stage, participants took on challenges like the Mystery Box Challenge, On-the-spot LEGO Build, Who’s That Nendoroid?, and CXG Geek Trivia.
The excitement didn’t stop there—off-stage, the competition heated up with the on-the-spot LEGO competition by Cebu Mecha Society, the Gunpla diorama build by Gunpla Cebu Community, and the Toy Photography Contest. Competitive players went head-to-head in the Pokémon GO Tournament, Beyblade battles, and the lightsaber tournament hosted by Cebu Sabersturm Academy.
More than just a convention, TOFICON Cebu 2024 was a true celebration of the toy-collecting community. It was a place where collectors, builders, and fans came together to share their love for toys and figures, whether through displays, competitions, or just meeting fellow enthusiasts. Everyone walked away with great memories, new connections, and an even deeper appreciation for the hobby.
With the success of this year’s event, TOFICON Cebu 2025 is already generating excitement. Fans can’t wait to see what’s coming next!
