Food Comma Jumps: Buffet 101
People started to pour in as the ushers lead each group to their tables. Even if we were there 30 or so minutes before Buffet 101 opened, there was already quite a crowd gathered.
I thought that this arrangement looked interesting even if the flowers were fake.
On this plate, I have slices of roast beef, pork loin, some shrimp toast and fish in a cream sauce with veggies. The meats have my favorite black pepper sauce which cuts the fattiness of the meat and gives it an extra kick.
Here we have a selection of dim sum and Asian-inspired food. At the top we have the peking duck rolls, some shumai, smoked duck and zucchini and the very popular lemon chicken [it cleans out almost as soon as it's placed in the serving dish].
Japanese inspired plate this time. We have a few skewers of yakitori, some sushi and sashimi. While that yakitori was dry, ultimately making it yucky-tori [it's partly my fault because I didn't ask if they were fresh], the sashimi more than made up for that little fiasco. Dipped in a little soy sauce and wasabi... absolutely perfect!
Finally we get to dessert. I would have loved some green tea but it was either that or coffee and I really love tea. The creme brulee was on point and lemony, the brownies were moist and the Black Sambo was so creamy. Of course let's not forget the yummy pandan salad. I didn't get it just because my favorite color is green. hahaha
As we come to the end of this journey and review, I must say that even if this isn't my first time at Buffet 101, I truly enjoyed my dining experience there. Don't forget, sine this is a buffet, food will have been on display for a while so watch out for when food is replaced so you can get the freshest, juiciest iterations of your favorite foods. And if you are wondering if I was able to eat myself into a food coma, indeed I did! XD
Can't wait to try here!
