Project Happiness Bakehouse or simply PH Bakehouse started out as a home based business of couple, Iris and Marcelle Pulga in Bacoor, Cavite since 2010. Irish is the baker while her husband Marcelle does the cake carving. They recently opened their doors to the Cebuanos with their first store-slash-showroom at Arcada 5 Tipolo, Mandaue City.
What I like about PH Bakehouse is that their cake designs are creatively and skillfully done. Just look at the details in this iron throne fondant cake topper!
You may also browse their cake portfolio on their website, Facebook page or Instagram to see more designs. If you have a particular design in mind, feel free to reach out to them.
Their creations are not only visually appealing but are also certified yummy. I had the chance to attend their opening day and taste some of their cupcakes and chocolate creations and I experienced love at first bite.
This one is their Earl Gray cupcake, which became my instant favorite. It has a distinct flavor, nothing like anything I've tasted before, and the creamy frosting perfectly compliments it.
Another personal favorite is their Dulce de Leche cupcake.
They also have choco moist cupcake. Now chocolate cupcakes are very tricky because everyone has their own preference. I like PH Bakehouse's chocolate cupcake because it's not too sweet and eating it with the frosting gives just the right sweetness for me. Also, I really love the frosting! It's creamy, fluffy, and have this milky aftertaste that I really enjoy.
Another cupcake variant they prepared during their store opening is the green tea cupcake. I can't decide if I like it or not to be honest because I'm very particular with green tea. When I hear the word my brain and taste buds automatically long for a strong matcha flavor. I guess they use a regular green tea flavoring for this one.
These are just some of the cupcake variety they offer. They still have a lot of exciting flavors I've yet to try.
Aside from the mini cupcakes, I also got to try their gourmet chocolates prepared by Iris' sister. We tried dark chocolate, chocolate with pili nuts, potato chips drizzled with chocolate, chili chocolates, and cheezy chocolates. I've got one word for them all - YUM!
Some of the chocolates may sound weird but when you try them, you can't stop taking a bite. The chocolates were definitely a blockbuster hit during the opening and I'm pretty sure your guests will love them too if you order them for your parties.
All their products are baked fresh in their home using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Their fondant is 100% made from scratch to guarantee freshness and great taste. They offer reasonably priced custom cakes and cupcakes, brownies, sugar cookies, chocolates and other dessert buffet items.
