Budget-Friendly Vegan Canteen in Cebu City!

Budgetarian is a term coined by the awesome people at The Green Canteen from the words budget + vegetarian. If you are looking to try plant-based versions of your favorite Cebuano dishes like paklay and humba and you happen to be around Jones / Ramos area, do check out this new dining spot!

Small space but well kept

They serve usually about 10 dishes which they change daily.

The Green Canteen offers vegan / vegetarian / plant-based meals that won’t hurt your wallet.

They have set meals for as low as 55 pesos.

🍄55 budget meal: 2x veggies + rice
🍄65 budget meal: 1x veggies + 1x veggie meat dish + rice
🍄75 budget meal: 2x veggie meat dish + rice

Add 5 pesos to upgrade to red rice. 💯 No Meat. No MSG.

Eggplant and tofu afritada.

Tofu sisig + ampalaya.

They have magic meat dishes but I just love tofu.

How to get there?

The Green Canteen is located in Arlington pond. Near Velez College. The road that connects McDonalds Jones to Ramos. Before you turn to Casa Verde. Across Silogan ni Gian. Beside Tagala’s Chicken Butterfly.

They are open from Monday to Saturdays between 9am to 9pm however food will usually be ready around 10am.

Ala carte menu

Aside from their vegetarian value meals, they also have an ala carte menu like burger, mushroom ginabot, Vietnamese spring roll, and nacho chips. Vegan-friendly still!

A lof of the customers are raging about the mushroom ginabot but I didn't enjoy it initially as I don't usually eat deep friend food. However, on my second try I could finally taste that umami taste. Will definitely eat here more often!
